I have the reverse problem. Proportionally, my waist is large compared to my hips. So if it fits my waist, the hips and posterior will be baggy, which makes for an "old lady look". If the hips and behind fit, I can't button the waist. My only saving grace has been the low waist fashion of the past few years. I can usually get that style to fit almost perfectly.

Vanity, (and others) you might try Bill Blass jeans. He makes the waist and the hip in much more feminine proportions than other manufacturers.

Venezia too.....They're the only brand of jeans I buy....and they wear like iron....the ones I have now are over 7yrs old....and I wear jeans daily.

Venezia also makes a limited number of non-jean styles....but they're hard to find. I've only once found a pair of slacks in my size and they fit just like their jeans.....now if I could just FIND them!

It's dress pants, kakies (?sp) etc that I have a problem with.

I thought there was something funny about sizing today!
I said in my journal, I have a pair of size 14's that are too big, a pair of size 14 jeans that are fine, and two pairs of size 14 pants (from the back of my closet) that are much too small. They're old, and I know they didn't shrink. And neither have I.
