Cud be my FIRST chat in this Forum !
That would be interesting. I am game.
What do the others think? About 6pm GMT. Anyone else interested (don't necessarily have to be in UK) in LIVE CHAT also welcome. Unless we get carried away with the dancing and forget Andy! Take care. |
Will try for 6pm GMT. Will try to get children's food over by then. Good luck.
|
Cannot get Chat Room to work. Guess I am either thick or need instruction! Good luck to fellow UK members anyway!

Hi Andy,
I just tried the chat, and it's working, and the UK bunch are online. Give it a try again. Remember to click the "Load Client" and once you see the chat screen, first thing to do is enter a unique name, say lc_andy_uk, something unlikely to be used by someone else. Good luck! Wa'il |
Thanks for the info, Wa'il. Sorry I did not see your post sooner, but I did not stay online long (not a good time for me). My fault really, I should have done a dummy run before it counted. I did think of it, but thought there probably would not be anyone else in the Chat Room at the time. At least I'll know for future reference.

Thanks
Hi Fiona,
Just a quickie to send a BIG thank you for your efforts this afternoon and evening. Both Margaret and I thought it was a great success. It was really good to be able to put faces to names and to discuss 'low carbing' with other like minded people in a relaxed atmosphere. Yvonne: Don't take too long to get back into the Atkins wol :) Aviva: Have a safe journey back to Israel when u return home. We are looking forward to the next  already Thanks once again, Speak soon Ken & Margaret |
It was GRRRRRRRRREAT - loved it !
Hi everyone
Yes Ken it was great fun. I really enjoyed it. Thank you all who came. Thank you Andy for trying to be there. Actually we were all sooo busy chatting that I had to quietly slip away to see if you were online and was secretly (might as well confess) glad that u weren't and I could get back to the others. Would you like to have a dummy run in Chat with me sometime? 5pm today? Hey ... an idea :exclm: Why don't we have regular Gatherings online once or twice a week? What do you think? Margaret: Waiting eagerly for your first post online ... time to get computer literate ... we don't just support Low carbing here ... as Andy will confirm I am sure!! Take care. |
Just to make you jealous !
On a develish note  to motivate those of you who didn't make it this time here's the menu. We were soooo busy chatting we completely forgot about the dancing ... but I am saving it for next time.
And for those of you who were here ... yes, there are one or two differences in the planned Menu and the reality of it eg the jelly babies were so floppy they didn't make it to the table (!) I think I wanted to keep them all to myself actually ;) A special thanks to Aviva who came early to help with the preparation. This is odd. Newer posts have been entere on this thread, but the last one I can see is dated Sept 6th. Cookies? Must clear out my cookie files & defrag C drive. Tried Chat Room, no one there. My last post (2pm today) did not hit the thread, and I did not have time to re-write it all. Failed again.
|
That's funny. Posting the previous message brought me back to the updated thread, with posts again visible that I could not see just now.
|
ummm
Hi Andy
Were u on the last page? Sometimes I find new posts that I hadn't realised were there but more often than not it is because I am on the penultimate page rather than the last one. Take care. |
Fiona,
Yes, I was, and I knew there were later posts, but I could not get onto the next page. I'm sure it's too many cookies. I'll go and clear them all out right now. |
Andy
I am sure u will sort it out. Just takes patience and time sometimes. I don't know a lot about 'ters but I muddle through somehow. Getting Margaret (Ken's wife) online is my next target. She thinks she doesn't know about computers!! If only she could see what goes on inside my head!! ;) |
Yes, I did work it out. The problem was a page of the the forum saved offline - every time I tried to log in, I was pitched back to that page, which was by then 2 days old.
Glad things went so well at the weekend. |
you will have your hands full Fiona
Hi Fiona,
