Or it could be that those people settled into their new way of life and moved on to discussing other interests on the internet... I personally think "cheating" or a "carb adventure" is a great idea for a lot of people like me who cannot be successful sticking to "all-low carb, all the time". For me, I've found that moderation is key and that one meal (or bite) every once in a while of pizza or mashed potatoes or bread or cake or whatever isn't going to kill me. But then, I only weigh once a week, accept my loss as what it is, and move on. If there is no loss or if I gain...well, that's another story. I make a mental note about what "cheat" food I ate and re-evaluate if I love it enough to eat it again any time soon. Everyone is different, and it took me a lot of reading and experimenting to find what (I think) is going to work for me long-term. We'll see... :) |

good point, you are probably right. i just got the book so i will continue onto OWL instead of cheating. i think this is much better than getting drunk and binging on pizza lol |
I am looking forward to Christmas day, I will allow myself a few traditional cookies and maybe one more treat. However, I am going to look for sugar free chocolate to have on hand, too. Just a few. I actually love this new WOE and do not find it hard to stay on. Heck, I can eat olives when my starving friends can't! LOL PS I am at 162.8 lbs now..... A big thanks to this forum. :D
