Josie, are you drinking enough water? They say a minimum of 64 oz. but because of my size and the heat I try and drink about 120. I also suggest you use http://fitday.com to track your carbs, calories and protein/fat percentages. Try to have the fat percentage at least 60%+. If the sweetener has aspartame it could be the problem. The Atkins book says to use Splenda if you must have a sweetener. Good Luck and let us know!!

my understanding is that are not ever to much protein... but read about the artifical sweetners in atkins book... im pretty sure it can in some cases affect ur efforts Other than being a carb.

Fred Meyer/Krogers carries a line of carbonated water that is sweetened with Splenda/sucralose. It's called Crystal Clear and here in Oregon they cost about $1.50 for a 1.5 liter bottle. They are really yummy and come in four or five different flavors - off the top of my head I can think of Lemon-Lime, Black Cherry, Wild Cherry and Kiwi-Strawberry.

Also, the Diet Rite sodas have no sodium or caffeine and are also flavored with sucralose. I especially love the Red Raspberry.

Little Anne, How do I look at peoples journals of what they eat. I'm having a tough time since I "thought" was sticking with the Atkins program but didn't lose one pound after the first week. I "thought" giving up sugar for me would make a big difference...but apparently my "menopausal" body disagrees!

i usually find that when i don't need to drink a lot of water, i can't seem to stop! i always was a big water drinker, but lately i find that i can't seem to get it down like i used to...i love water, and always keep it nice and cold and icy...i have been drinking the splenda water (Fruit 2O) and very little soda (when i do it's diet rite) ...yet i have never turned a keto stick any color but beige...

i was a bad girl over the weekend, and i started induction again, even though i didn't gain any weight...hopefully, i will have some weight loss to post later this week...thanks for the thread!!
