I am so encouraged to see so many fresh faces, and renewed energy and interest in setting a pace for July. This challenge really took off so quickly!! Zoom!!
Remember it's not about HOW much we lose this month, it's about staying with it, perservering, and not giving up. We all have bad moments, we can try to keep them from becoming bad MEALS, then if we didnt stop there, we can keep it from becoming a bad DAY.. bad week, then totally gone.. kind of mentality. Thats why this board/forum..and now this here little challenge amongst so many good ones on here, is key for us to help us have a place to check in, share and have hope that we arent the only one who may be having certain feelings or issues going on. Even if you gain, or stay the same, please continue to pop over, interact, and weigh in on mondays. It is NOT about shame, it is not about being "good vs. bad'... It's a journey we are all on...and like traveling down the highway, there are always potholes and bumps and big "alligators' ( those big tractor trailer peices of tires-that was your first lesson in Truck driver jargon! : ) Hubby is a trucker, father is a trucker,,, I guess I should have been a trucker!..  Anyways.. we sometimes hit real stuff in other areas of our lives, and we dont dive into a pit of dispair, we keep it..most of the time, in check, in balance and are gentle to ourselves.. Motto: Do unto yourself as you would do unto others.

Okay it's July 1st!!!! Woo-Hoo! :wave:
I weighed in today to double check my weight and it was actually up about a lb...but TOM is coming. But I am determined to make it to Onderland this July challenge. No ifs, ands or buts!!!! :thup: Part of my commitment is to not cheat...drink plenty of water...exercise 3-4 times a week and keep very minimal carbs-under 20...so basically I'm in induction bootcamp!!!!! :D Today has been great! So far so good!! |
By the way butterball/Lisa I was about 240 on my first challenge on this forum just about a year ago. I don't remember what it was but I think I did well on it. You're doing great nearly 20 pounds down.

It is great to see so many people in this challenge! I hope I didn't drop anyone. I stayed the same for the week, which is great.
