These tiny guys in our colon actually work very hard to digest nutrients like protein, fat and carbs. The more they populate our intestines, the healthier and longer our lives are. Yougurt and other cultured dairy, lactofermented foods and beverages are the way to go if one really cares about his health. These little guys make sure that there is no room for bad guys, like candida, harmful bacterias, etc. No wonder they say: Death starts in the colon! ;)
