I only did it when "dieting"...exercising, I mean. ;)

I've always exercised, but when my weight was over 350 it was getting more and more difficult. I was huffing and puffing going up the smallest hills. Now that I've shed over 50 pounds, exercise is much easier so I have increased both my intensity and duration. I walk for about an hour at least five days a week at a reasonably brisk pace. Last Sunday I talk a two and a half hour hike in the woods and wasn't even tired afterwards. There is no way I could have done that six months ago.
