Hello there! I would just like to give some advice based on my own experience. I read your fitness journal, and noticed that your daily meals are almost identical. It may help you to add variety to your diet. Mix it up a bit. I notice when I eat different veggies and protien each day it really helps stimulate my metabolism. Good Luck!

 Hi Evil and thanks, I have been following your threads and gain much support and inspiration from them. I have doing Atkins since 7/31, no weight loss either. I am feeling good and remaining hopeful as well. I am tweaking things and hoping to find the right formula. Hopefully soon there will be losses for both of us ! So great that your diabetes is under control !!!

Hi Bill,

I was just reading on the Atkins website under FAQs and found some things that may relate to your situation.

Under Health and Medical Issues:
Keep your total calorie intake at approximately 1500 to 1800 calories daily. While most individuals do not need to count calories when they do Atkins this recommendation will help you avoid undereating or overeating.

The macronutrient breakdown in the induction phase is 60% fat, 30% protein, 10% carbs, your percentage of fat naturally diminishes as your percentage of carbohydrate increases.

Under Liposysis and Ketosis
Make sure you are not consuming extra protein.

Cut out tomatoes and onions.

Try supplementing with L-carnitine, hydroxycitric acid (HCA), and chromium.

Increase the frequence and intensity of your exercise program.

It's a really informative site that may have something that will work.

Nancy, totally off the subject of low carbin, but question for you.....did you used to go out with a guy named Chris Ranken about 14 yrs. ago in L.A.? I went out with his brother Kevin, and you look so familiar as a girl that Chris went out with around the same time. Is this you?
