Hey Barbie

On the first page where you posted, the second thread is a sticky called how to start a journal

(This food thread you started makes me hungry!

Eat real food not shakes.
Make a pot of something. Chicken cooked with celery and some onions, herbs like poultry seasoning with has all of the herbs in one container.
Eat some of it as a soup and take some of the chicken out and chop it up to make chicken salad made with mayo and some chopped up boiled eggs. Eat it with a salad/lettuce or just by it's self.

There is a recipe on here for ground beef with shredded cabbage, all cooked down....its good.

Here's the new location of the Crack-slaw recipe

I looked at this recipe and it looks delicious. I haven’t made it, but looking at the bottom of nutritional info - 1/4 of this is 24 carbs. I don’t know how much 1/4 of this recipe would be, but 1/4 of 14oz of cabbage and 1/4 of ground beef should not be very many carbs. Anyway for me that is staying at 20g per day this would not work for me. What in it is 24 carbs - soy sauce?. I’m still learning.

I made myself a journal on here and hopefully we can figure out what I am doing wrong... or if it is just the way my body is holding onto the fat...

Oh Wow, That doesn't make much sense, 24g carbs must be wrong since meat has no carbs. There are many other receipts for this, lets see what the others say. Because cabbage and a little soy surely isn't 24g. I wonder if it's a typo and it is 24g for the whole thing, making 1/4 around 5g, now that would make more sense.

I just reread that recipe and it''s the Fat that's 24g but the carbs are only 4.5.

Hi Blue,

I finally made a journal. It should be on my site! I hope I did it right. :)

Hi Meme!

The Crack Slaw is 24g of fat but only 4.5g of carbs. I thought that was a bit high too so I looked again.

Yes, we all read it too fast I think.
I also posted a thread with Linda's crack slaw. Did you see that one?
She has a great collection of LC recipes on her web-site.

Sorry! My error. You are right - read too fast. Too much focus on Carbs. Glad it IS so low in carbs. :yum:

Yes it should be on induction because it's ground beef, cabbage and green onion.

Here is the induction page which will answer a lot of questions on what to eat.
