I'm wondering if the child who complimented you was a boy or a girl. I think girls at that age are beginning to notice fat and are even starting to think of diets. Boys seem like the ones who would compliment you quicker.

My kids always told me I wasn't fat even though I was. I think they just think its how moms are to look. But one day my daughter, who was in 4th grade at the time, punched another girl on the playground because the other girl said "your mother is fat". When the teacher questioned my daughter about why she hit the other girl, she told my daughter that she thought it was wonderful that she would stand up for her mother that way. My daughter didn't get punished.

Eck I have an 11yrold brother and if I say something like "im fat" :rolleyes: he's like "no u ain't"..I don't know why, but I can't really take that as a compliment..lol..I mean I'm not really "fat" but I'm like chunky or something..eww :confused:

I believe you are true you get compliments from boys before you get compliments from girls....

The girls havent said nothing yet... But wait till next year when school starts again... :D :wave:
