Hi, Glenda!

I checked on the Hot Links thread in the Newbies Questions section and there were two links to threads with really good info on this question. Here's one of them (couldn't copy both at the same time!)

The short answer is yes, it probably has hidden carbs. There's info on that thread as to how you can calculate it.

Most people seem to avoid them -- they do cause stalls.

HTH! :)

no more lc bars!!

Thanks so much for the reply. I went to the link you provided and when all was said and done, the Hidden Carb calculator's grand total on a low carb bar claiming to have .37 grams, was a whopping 21.85!!!!!  I am so glad i only ate a little bit and didn't wolf down a whole box of them like I wanted to.
I noticed the scale was up today, so I'm a little dissapointed about that, but I think it's from all the water I've been drinking. AND my mom jarred them yesterday, trying to move them....so it may have messed them up. I hope so, anyway. lol The evil scales are now safely in another room, preventing me from hopping onto them every five seconds.
I also stopped the journal I've been keeping on here and am now keeping it at Fitday.com, which is an awesome web site. I recommend it to you guys. It's so neat - lets you enter in all you ate that day and adds up your carbs. It also tells you how many calories you burned when you enter in your daily activities. I like that I can see my progress ( and bloopers..) there on one page.
Well, I'll be trying to recover from the low carb bar disaster and hoping it didn't set me back too much. Take care everyone!

I need help!!!!!

Ok. almost 3 weeks for me now and I am getting discouraged.......I haven't lost in two weeks. As a matter of fact, I've gained back a couple pounds. (I couldn't bear to change the profile. :( )
I have been doing so good, I just knew I woas losing. I have been exercising at least five days a week, drinking a gallon of water a day (Except for the past two days....sick at my stomach and I just couldn't handle it.) and strictly sticking to induction. I haven't been measuring, but I have tried on the same skirt every few days and it feels the same as when I lost the first several pounds.
Can anyone tell me what's going on? I would love to lose at least ten pounds by May and I was going to keep on induction until I reached goal. What should I do? I really need advice and encouragement!

It could be that you are putting on muscle since you are exercising a lot more now. Your body is adjusting. Be patient. We all want it now, but if we can learn to go with the flow, we find we feel better, look better and are better. I too lost big right away, then gained back and now I seem to be losing at a normal rate. Losing too fast is not a good thing. You want to lose fat not lean. Remember to be truly succesful on this plan it is a way of life. That means always. You only want to do this once. Good Luck and keep up the good work. You will succeed
