I have been fluctuating b/w 199 & 196 for the past 2-3 weeks, but I have been hitting the gym hard & am seeing progress, so not too discouraged yet! I am ready for the February challenge!

Answer to previous questions- your start wt is the start of Feb- this challenge.

We can post menus if everyone thinks it will help. I have a link to my fitday in my sig so anyone can just click on it to see mine.

Just to warn you, you don't want to see mine the next day or so bc I have almost hit the 50 lbmark -2 lbs to go- and that has been my goal for a real pizza!! :yum: Plus super bowl so potato skins are a tradition around here! I am thinking it will just be for Sat & Sun- so I will have a few extra to take off but usually it is only 3-4 lbs and gone by the 3rd day. Last cheat day was Xmas. Sorry my only motivation is pizza right now but by Monday I will be back full force with you guys! I am continuing my exercise routine tho- have done 4x this week and one more tomorrow- maybe even a short one Saturday to burn off those extra things I am going to eat!! I religiously exercise at least 4x a week and mostly 5x- which I know is the major difference in the rate I lose.

Last month I had about 15 people here so let's round up some more LOSERS!!!!! :)

I would be very interested in seeing everyone's menus here. I have been stuck at 168 for the past 2 weeks. I was fluctuating between 168 & 169 and now it's 167 & 168 but I can't get past it.

I was reading that I should up my fat intake and lower protein but I'm not sure what I should be eating to accomplish this. Any suggestions.

Today's Menu
B - Sausage Egg & Cheese Taco w/ tortilla
S - Beef stick
L - Grilled chicken salad
S - Hot & Spicy Pork Rinds
D - Chef Salad

Not really sure why I ate the tortilla this morning. I guess I was thinking that if I added carbs and then decreased them I might start losing again but I don't think that tortilla had enough to do this. I love breakfast tacos but this morning I was really disappointed and wished I had just ate the insides and not the tortilla. It didn't taste as good as it use to. :(

Ok, looks like I'm doing ok.... only 7.5 to go...LOL...btw, pants were comfortable this morning....finally a change in my clothes...LOL

Here is my menu from yesterday...which I must warn you is not my usual menu AT ALL. I felt really icky yesterday...

Breakfast-Wasa Cracker with 1 teaspoon of LC peanut Butter
Snack-Half Atkins Pizza
Lunch-Half Atkins Pizza and Greek Salad
Dinner-Chipotle bowl (steak, lettuce, cheese, sour cream and guacomole)
Dessert one square of a goviva SF Chocolate bar (it was okay..)

I had WAY too many carbs yesterday but they were GOOD carbs :)

Todays menu is more like my usual:
Breakfast-one fried egg, two sausage patties (0 carbs)
Lunch-tuna packed in oil and DRAINED well with one pickle cut up (dill) and 4 tablespoons of mayo
Dinner-Hamburger quiche with snow peas (quiche is ground beef with eggs and cream over top in oven-of course there are seasonings but this is the carb count, protein, etc)

I also drink at least 64 ounces of water a day while at work and another 16 or so when I get home. If I find my fat count too low, I'll indulge in a diet root beer with a few tablespoons of heavy cream.

Not sure what happened this morning. The scale was up to 169.8. YIKES!!!

The only thing I had different yesterday was the tortilla. I know that it didn't cause me to go up 1.6 lbs from yesterday.

I didn't drink as much as I should have yesterday so it was probably water weight.

Today's Menu
B - 2 slices of bacon & 2 eggs
S - Beef Stick
L - Grilled Chicken Salad w/ Italian dressing
S - Spicy Pork Rinds
D - Whataburger (no bun) cut up on a Garden Salad w/ extra mustard no dressing. :yum::yum:

Can I still join? 8 lbs is exactly my goal for February. I was at 215 for feb 1st. Not sure how to cut and paste to add myself for the challenge. This will be my first challenge, kind of excited about it!

Cut and paste how to- left click your mouse at beginning of list and hold it down while dragging til the end of the list, the whole list will be highlighted. Let go of rleft click, right click and a little box should pop up -go down to where it says copy and right click. Go to where you would post a reply, right click- little box again- go to paste and click. VOILA- should work. If by chance you are not able to get the box to pop up w/right click go to the top where it says edit and click on that, there will be the same options of copy/paste in there! Hope that helps!! I will add you in to the list!!

There you are! After you paste into the reply you can change your stats when needed!!


As far as increasing the fat- try adding olive oil to whatever meat you cook, devilled eggs are good sources- I usually try to eat 2 a day. Chicken or tuna salad w/mayo is great too. One of the best sources of fat- good fat too- is avacado- lots of fiber. One whole one has 3 carbs, I try to eat one a day- or at least half. I mix it in w/the chicken salad and have even mixed it w/eggs, or in taco salad. I don't really like avacados plain so I have to mix it in w/something else! Hope that helps- you can click on my fitday link to see my menus. I try to get 70% fat a day.

I am so pleased to announce that this morning the scale was at 167.6. This was after I ate. I am so glad it dropped back down. Gonna try and make sure I get all my water in today.

I do try to get in a helping of avocado every day. I like it plain in my salads but usually buy pre made guacamole. It has a few more carbs. Maybe I should just eat them plain. I can eat more of it and get the extra fat in.

We were at a party last night..and I was being soooo good, but we got some bad news...My brother in law is going to Iraq..., so while still in shock, I ate a slice of pizza.... as a result...up a whole pound today....oh well....Ill get rid of it soon (i hope)
