I had a hard time with induction too. After a few days I felt just awful: headachey, weak and shaky, and my workouts were impossible. I was also really really tired but couldn't sleep very well either. So I upped my carbs to 40-50 per day and that worked fine. Now, maintaining, I have around 80-100 a day (you can eat very well on 80 grams a carb a day, too!) I weigh about 140 but I exercise 60 - 90 minutes a day, 5-6 days a week, so I imagine that has something to do with it. But I lost almost 40 pounds on 40-50 carbs a day and have kept it off for over a year now-- Cathy

Hi. I know your question was posted last month, but I just joined this forum today and really wanted to respond to you. I have been low carbing for almost 2 years now. I am 34 years old with 2 children, ages 10 and 4, and have been able to keep my weight down and within a 10 pound range of my goal weight since I started low carbing. I have, however, "fallen off the wagon" many times, mostly around holidays and during vacations, which means I've been through induction more than a few times and, the last time I tried it, I failed at induction. So, this time, I decided to just keep at 20 carbs a day and not deprive myself of low carb breads and all the yummy foods not listed on the induction menu. And, I still lost weight - - 5 pounds the first week and counting. I hope you are enjoying the LC way of life! :)
