I take a laxative which contains almost zero carbs. I believe that Dr. Atkins has recommended it in his book.

It is a jar of powdered fibers which contains 75 teaspoon servings of "psyllium fibers". Its name is "Sugar free Konsyl" and it contains the following per seving:

Carbs: 0.05 grams
Dietary Fibers: 5 grams
Soluble Fibers: 4 grams

I mix psyllium fiber into things like egg or chicken salad, hot cereal, cottage cheese and yogurt. Very painless. :)
If you make protein shakes or smoothies of any sort, that's another good vehicle. I get anywhere from 20-40 g of fiber from food, and I supplement with psyllium if I know it will be a 20 g day instead of a 40 g day.

Cheers,

well, I am having the opposite problem...
I am thinking about getting Immodium soon. I seem to be getting more than enough fibre, even though I don't eat that much. Last week I had a lot of nuts and since Thursday I am never far from a toilet......It's starting to drive me crazy.

Anyone else having this problem ?
