Can anyone give me the exact nutritional information for shirataki noodles (konnyaku noodles) - all the info I have seen in the forum say 'per serving', but don't know how big a serving is.
If anyone knows carb count per 100g, that would be great!

Thank-you for that link. So, does that mean 3g of carbs per 100g, or is it 0? (ie has the fiber already been subtracted?)

I don't think the fiber has already been subtracted. There is a thread on how to calculate if it was. I will try to find it andget back to you

Interesting, Hayabusa!
Please report your results. I know that Meg (?) on this board ordered the noodles online too. She was very pleased with them (only.. not with the online price incl. shipping costs... they're cheaper in Asian markets, if you can find them there.)

As said earlier, they really don't taste of anything at all themselves, and they're quite slippery. But heated up with a sauce or something else, they give really good chewing resistance and work excellenty as a filler in dishes.

:)

When in doubt, you can always run the particular item (it's fat, protein, stated carbs figures) through the "Hidden Carbs Inspector" (link to the right on this page) and it will tell you. :)

My package lists less than 1 gram per 1 oz (30 gram) serving.
You can get them with nori mixed in, as well. Makes them an interesting colour. I found them first at the Japanese Market (made the mistake of going to the Chinese one first, and they sold me the dry noodles, because I really didn't know what I was looking for), and then later, I found them in the refrigerated section at the Chinese market, so at least I have two locations to get them (for now - until I move, and then who knows?)
