lol Glim.. reminds me of a song---99 bottles of no cheating on the wall, 99 bottles of no cheat, etc etc.

Count me in.

Its nice to know I am not the only one starting over after the holidays.

Why do we cheat during this time of year? Is it because we're not dedicated to Low carb WOL? makes me wonder sometimes

I'm definitely starting over!!!

Liv2004 Sun, Dec-28-03 02:17

Im starting sometimes in the new year, like most the the world(new years resolutions). but unlike some of them who will choose maybe a lowfat diet and then go off the diet due to feeling hungry constantly, I'll be on atkin's induction eating eggs, meat, veggies and FAT, without hunger.

I to will be going on induction but not until after New Year as I have a mountain of fruit that has to be eaten before I start. I was going well for 9 months during this time my Mother had brain surgery and lost part of her memory. I coped well and stayed on plan until my DH had a heart attack and it just slipped away so fast and the old habits returned. I had lost 11k in 9 months not fast but it had gone now in the past 2 months it is all back on. I am not beating myself up about this but I am disappointed that I could not control the stress better. As long as I have learned from it but hopefully there will never be that much stress at one time in my life again.
So as from the 1st January I will be back on induction and watch me go I have learnt a lot about this way of eating in the past year so I will be putting it to full use. I even realize where I had made some mistakes by reading and misunderstanding what was written. It is a learning process and re read the book over and over to pick up pieces you did not take in or forgot the first time you read it..
I wish you all the best for the losses you will see in 2004.

I think that I will start with you all too. It was a nice cheat of glorious sweets, however, I have been feeling horrible, no energy, terrible headaches, and incredibly lathargic. I too am back on track and would love to join you all.

I wasn't planning on cheating but lack of time to plan caused it... Christmas eve dinner was impossible since I was away from home and had no real choice but to eat, then Christmas day I had a few high sugar dessert items and sugar cured ham. Had some LC bread and a few other breaded items I don't normally have. Had a headache yesterday, so back to post induction for me. I don't wanna go back to stict induction because I don't wanna abuse it. I blame lack of planning, it was easier during Thanksgving, but Christmas is just too busy...

Count me in! I started induction today! After several days of cheating and no weight gain, I got on the scale this morning to find myself up 2 lbs. Luckily I was already planning to do induction again, that was just the added push!

I enjoyed myself, maybe a little too much, but I am glad to be getting back to this lifestyle. Even when I wasn't showing any weight gain on the scale over the last few days, I was definately feeling it! I just felt fluffy and my clothes were getting tighter!

Best of luck to everyone!

Count me in as well. I may wait until 1/1/04 since we still have 1 more Christmas today with my inlaws and a New Years party to go to. I've gained a couple pounds, but its hard to tell since my moms scale is different than the scale at home.

I have cheated, but all of my breakfsts have been LC. Its those darned meals out - especially pizza and deserts - that have been my downfall.

tampa_girl Sun, Dec-28-03 12:18

Me too....have been feeling "crappy" and will finish off all the "bad" foods in the house today! Back to KISS tomorrow am.

NYorker Sun, Dec-28-03 12:59

I'm in too. I planned to go off into the world of high carbs in Dec. but now I'm back. Starting today. I gained eight pounds in the last three weeks, but I'm confident it's mostly bloat. It better be dang it!

GrooveJock Sun, Dec-28-03 13:57

count me in. I planned this though. Its funny, I cannot wait to start low carbing tomorrow!
