NYorker Mon, Aug-25-03 21:17

Yes! The powerless hopeless feeling! Gone! (Though I live in fear of it returning)

1. My place in my fat family.
2. my insatiable appetite
3. sugar addiction
4. dry skin
5. hopelessness
6. feeling of deprivation
7. spare tire
8. sinus and migrane headaches
9. fear
10. shame

I've lost the afternoon "food coma", migraine headaches, and unsightly bulges in clothes.

armywife3 Mon, Aug-25-03 22:18

I cannot tell you how amazing I feel. I have lost the tiredness and constant exhaustion (along with at least 1/4 of my ass so far....lol)

If I never lost another pound it would be ok b/c of how I feel with all the energy. IT's great.

Shannonp Mon, Aug-25-03 23:13

I feel the same 'losses' as all of you!! Nothing really to add except for my own personal experiance with zits.

I, too, had an increase in zits when I started this - but I increased my water intake and they disappeared!

Deiesse Mon, Aug-25-03 23:15

1) Inertia
2) Fatigue
3) Brittle nails
4) The major munchies -- the kind that compel you to eat half a bag of chips, then pause momentarily, shrug your shoulders and proceed to eat the rest.
5) Caffeine addiction. Still drink occasional coffee and tea, but never crave it.
6) Heartburn. I can even lie down right after eating with no trouble.
7) Zits, except a couple at TOM
8) A bra size (I had plenty to spare so I'm not complaining)

hey_Neener Tue, Aug-26-03 00:38

1. my favorite clothing stores-they no longer have my size-they are all too big!
2. my entire size 18/20 fall wardrobe-including my new leather coat!
3. cracked, painful heels
4. refrigerator space -meats, cheese and veggies fill it up now!
5. patience with low-fat people telling me Atkins isn't healthy.
6. taste for store bought goodies-I have to avoid homemade-they still taste too good.
7. self loathing for lack of discipline and being too fat for too long.
8. dependency on caffeine for energy.
9. zits
10. dramatic mood swings

What I've lost:
* That "I'll start a diet tomorrow" attitude
* Low-fat salad dressings that made me hate salads for years
* Fridge and freezer space (good one hey_neener)
* The constant fatigue
* Stress headaches
* The monthly I-must-have-chocolate-now feeling
* An extra $150 a month on the grocery bill (Note: this is a new development since DH started Atkins too).

What have I lost so far:

[*]Lower back pain[*]heartburn[*]bad self image[*]restless nights[*]4 clothing sizes[/list]
And I can't wait to lose more!

Great post!!

Hey_Neener, keep the leather coat! I love wearing overly big floppy coats! They will have to kill me to take mine away from me! :lol:
