I am a complete Heinz Ketchup junkie, will not eat any other. I tried a couple brands and they were all gross (including Walden Farms) but Keto Ketchup tasted the exact same, I was in heaven when I found it.

Anybody every try mixing tomato paste with a little vinegar and Splenda? I was never really much of a ketchup eater anyway, so I can't vouch for it, but that's essentially what ketchup is, tomato paste, vinegar and sugar.
If it was good it would save a lot of money over the low carb bottled versions. Just a thought. Dorothy |
Low carb cookbooks have recipes for homade ketchup and steak sauce. In 500 Low-Carb Recipes she states that store-bought ketchup has more sugar per ounce then ice cream.

I can't do catsup. No more catsup for me. It triggers the cravings. Steak sauch can be a problem too for me if it has too much sugar. You just named 2 things I have to stay away from.

I did not know this would stir such replys I guest I'm not alone.I found Atkins steak sauce at my local health food store and it's pretty good they did'nt have Keto ketchup, but I brought some unsweeten ketchup and added splenda it taste great, only 1 carb not including the splenda. You can make barbeque sauce from unsweeten ketchup, just ad splenda and hot sauce, chili powder.Barbeque sauce is sweeter than ketchup, but you get idea.thanks all for some great ideas and support.

I'll cast my vote for the Keto Ketchup too! I've tried many different kinds including Atkins (too sweet w/odd taste) and Walden Farms (Yuck!), Jok-N-Al (WAY too runny!). There are many Keto products that I don't like but their Ketchup is the best! It tastes great and is the perfect texture...
