stuck

 Might just be coincidence, but when I hit my plateau (the first time around before I lost all sanity and ate mega carbs and went vegetarian  ) I eliminated coffee (yes decaf) and ALL artificial sweeteners from my diet. I had lost about 15 lbs. at that point, 2 months later, I was down 35. My metabolism kicked in big time. Losing the sweeteners helped too, because they were just a crutch to taste something sweet. I gained all of my weight back and then some when I went vegan and I was tired all of the time. Last November I went back to LC and I'm down 20...green tea is my only hot beverage of choice, no coffee and no art. sweeteners. I do eat fruit (apples, berries, grapes... no bananas) veggies, LOTS of fish and I LOVE meat! :D Maybe this can work for you too! Good luck!

If you stay in Ongoing Weight Loss instead of going back to induction as some have suggested, here's something that tastes sweet and is rich without having any sweetener or protein powder -- mix a couple of tablespoons of macadamia nut butter and a couple of teaspoons heavy cream in a little bowl. Stir, stir, stir. It thickens like a pudding. It is wonderfully rich and you can eat it a tiny bit at a time while drinking some herbal tea -- delicious. Of course some people find that nuts are stallers. It's all an experiment -- but we feel so much finer if we keep that experiment within the low carb framework. Just on general health principles regarding micronutrients and so on, I'd try what one person suggested -- more vegetables. A huge salad, or sautee celery (or cauliflower or green beans or cabbage) in olive oil until it gets brown (yum) or slice a European cucumber very thin and salt it in a colander for 15-30 minutes, squeeze out some of the juice, add a little vinegar -- delicious. Or sautee sliced portobello mushroom caps in butter. So many great ways to eat lc veggies -- I'd say go get some and add them in. Try for at least three days, and see what happens. I'm sending you support and warm wishes for success. Anyone who can lose 75 pounds as you did last year will surely have the persistence to try different ways of lc eating until you find something wonderful, comfortable, sustainable for life.
