thank you everyone for the great advice I will try to find the Jolly Rancher jello and also do the homemade.

satihap Mon, May-19-03 14:35

i just add the knox to .5 cup of cold water, then heat the diet rite and add. put it in the fridge and you're set...

I have a question about the homemade Splenda jello.

Do you count 8 - 10 carbs in the Splenda packets?

I am new to low-carbing and have not quite figured out which carbs to count.

Annie-Pie Mon, May-19-03 16:46

When you say to use Jolly Rancher sugar free jello, the only kinds in our area are the ready-made kind, like in 6-packs. I pictured it being boxed like the dry jello.
Comments anyone? I am confused and curious about trying new recipes.
I still like the idea of the diet rite-- also the idea of knox plain with unsweetened jello and adding splenda.
Thanks again, friends!

Sorry Annie-Pie, Jolly Rancher sf jello is only ready-made. The only packaged dry sf jellos available at retail are aspartame-sweetened. That is why I put up the Kool-Aid/Splenda jello recipe. If aspartame does not bother you, then go for the packaged dry-type.

I didn't know Diet Rite was made with Splenda, that's great. I gave up all diet pop, thought it was all was made with Aspartame. Can't wait to get some I really missed my diet soda.
Thanks for the tip.

So what about the Splenda packets? Carbs?

My experience

I dont know but it seemed like I was losing more weight when I was eating the sf jello everyday with a little whipped topping than I am now not eating it. I may just start eating it again....I'm stalled now !!! :p But really I think it may just be that at certain points you stall. We have to keep in mind the whoosh fairy will come again......... :daze: :spin:  Its pretty much a guarantee !!!

We can do this together !!!

;) Thanks for letting me know about Jolly Rancher in the ready-made. What a difference that will make now. Looks as though there are so many options/recipes available on Atkins. I very rarely get hungry. Must be the fat content that keeps me full (or the protein).

All these recipes make it stay interesting, even on induction! And with company arriving today, I have recipes I can serve to the entire family and company without making my "diet" draw attention.

One final note, I also did not know about Diet Rite having Splenda until reading this site yesterday. . As with our other Atkins friends, I assumed it had that yucky aspartame. For that reason, I always opted for ice water at McD's instead of pop (which is better, I suppose)! Now, when I want to treat myself, I'll have a can waiting for me! Aspartame always left my stomach feeling kinda' "yucky" and full of sodium.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words and fun recipes.
Congratulations on your progress...We are gonna make it, baby! Hugs, Annie-Pie

Be aware, not all the products on this list containing Splenda are sugar-free and/or low-carb!
