I'm up for a Sept challenge as well. Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. Trying to get to bed earlier gets in the way of posting. ;) I'm falling off the wagon on the bedtimes lately. My routine was thrown off with my trip to Iowa. In spite of that, I only had 1 diet soda this week. If I thought it wouldn't trigger me to drink them every day, I wouldn't mind having one once a week.

My big news has nothing to do with my particular goals this month, but I wanted to share it with y'all anyway. I had my body fat tested this morning, and it was 11.7%! This is down from 15% 2 months ago when I started NHE. I lost 2# of scale weight, but that's 4# of body fat lost and 2# of lean body mass gained! I thought 11.7 sounded low, but the trainer said based on my body type and how I looked he thought it was accurate. (BTW, just for grins he tested me with bioelectrical impedence. It showed me at 27% bf. He just laughed. He said they always get a higher reading with bioelectrical impedence and he doesn't consider it to give at all a valid reading.) So I am very pleased. I got Rob Faigin's new book on exercise in the mail today, and I plan to start a bulking program soon.

Great news on the fat % caverjen!

Don't we have one more weigh day, or is the August challenge over. I weigh in on Mondays, and tomorrow is still August. ;)

I'll do a September challenge! I haven't cheated in the sense of going off low carb, but I have gotten a little sloppy with tracking my food/grams. Last night I overate cottage cheese with sliced apples and chopped walnuts. My husband laughed at me when I expressed my guilt. I guess I did seem rather pathetic; it's not like I ate half a pizza! But excess calories are excess calories, no matter the source and it shows I'm still struggling with using food when I am no longer really hungry.

The one thing I am most proud of is my exercise this past month. I didn't miss a single workout and feel very satisfied with my progress. Here's my fitness log.

Time to add some cardio. :(

As for the September challenge, I am going on vacation the 5th through the 12th. I need another challenge that brings me right up to the day I leave so I don't stray too far from plan while I am away!!! So, yes, let's do another.

I'll check back Monday after I weigh in (even if it is the day before TOM starts).

Hello everyone! I haven't been online in a LONG while because of no internet - thanks a lot CHARLEY ::makes face:: -
I haven't been doing well AT ALL on my low carb. In fact I haven't been doing LC for a butt long time. And my goals... psssh*

But congratulations to all the losers and chin ups for all those that haven't lost any pounds or have gain some due to vacations or what nots. Welcome back to those who have been away and who've checked back in. September challenge sounds awesome! I'm glad to see people are still posting! Keep up the wonderful work*

Only lost 1 lbs. this month. I was doing sooo well, but then in the last quarter I gained 3 back. I was sooo stoked too! But I'm not gonna give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just gotta make some adjustments and move on!!!!

Hey, 7 lbs isn't too too bad! I think it's fine that I've lost 7. 10 is a little much for me, I realize. I'm still on track for my long-term challenge, still not cheating since MAY!

I've used Fitday a little to learn that I was overdoing it with calories, and have made corrections. I don't feel the need to log in my foods, I have considerably loered my maltitol, aspartame, etc. intake.

Exercise I've done some, but not as much as I had set my goals for.

My water intake, although not perfect, is very ok.

My patience regarding my weight loss was not challenged since I've been losing steadily.

So I'll certainly be on the lookout for a September challenge!

I reached most my goals this month! I worked out every week at least 3 times (usually 4) and I lost 10 pounds. I actually lost 2 pounds last week. The only reason it surprises me is because I weighed myself today and tomorrow is the start of my >.< I wasn't expecting a loss. Weeeeeee!

I was hoping to lose more, since I was starting at my highest weight ever, but it is what it is. I just have to visualize those 10 1-pound packages of butter that I melted off my bod.

So how do we do the September challenge? Will there be a new thread?

I'm on vacation next Sunday for a week and need all the discipline I can muster from all of you! :D

Congrats to all the losers and all my positive energy to those struggling! Keep checking in!

Bad end of month goalwise, Week 3 only 1 exercise session instead of the planned 2 and last week zip - zero - nothing... :(
Total weight loss for the challenge... (roll drums) 1.5 pounds!
I decided not to weigh myself obsessively. I feel good, the numbers on the scale just bring me down.

I'm happy with my August weight loss. Hopefully I can do as well in September. The beggining of August was still induction so I know the weight will be coming off slower now. I was down to 149, but I have raised my carbs for the last three days, now going back to 20 a day for three days.

a little late but still here
 
hi all. well, close. i weighed 214 today, 1 pound short of my 10 pound goal, but still i'm very happy over 9 pounds. still not exercising consistantly but i've been doing the yoga tape a couple of times week and that is a lot of activiy for me. no wine - weeelll, that turned out to be a whole other deal. didn't realize how much i depended on a drink before bed. but none this week, and that is going to be an ongoing goal. getting skinny is more important than getting buzzed.

ya, i'm up for a sept challenge.
