I want to start a LC FOOD CHAIN
I've being thinking about what to do with my life and this could be my calling. I'm graduating from college in May, taking a year off and then hopefully planning of going to lawschool (depending on my LSAT, which I took two weeks ago) and getting my MBA and law degree. So what do you guys think? There's enough of us around the country that would eat there or start one of the franchaises.
It would have lc food...lc desserts, meals, lunchs2go, and lc breads. I would even have a coffee (decaff, of course) section where people could find the lastest lc books and recipes. Then later, I would create a line of LC frozen foods. And all this would be readily available, not only online (with expensive shipping charges), but in every state and Canada!!! Who's coming with me? Erin |
Me Me Me Me
Can I have the European franchise?
But we need a name, a catchy name.... How about TGIF Thank God It's Fat or THINBUCKS or Salad Days or The Plaice to Meat Stop me someone please |
I love it, and always enjoy hearing about low-carb projects. I think the frozen dinner idea has been floating around for a while, and Karen is possibly doing some math on it? :)
I think the market is ready. Wa'il |
frozen low carb tv dinners? YEAH< YEAH AND MORE YEA!
Can you guess I hate to cook??? :D |
Hey Rust,
How about "Loser's Cafe"? Mike |
My thoughts exactly...
It's a great idea waiting to happen...
I was just talking about this with my sister who also feels it would be a great idea. I was thinking about a store front, but my sister correctly suggested frozen foods. Or maybe both... With the huge numbers of people who follow this WOE, it seems like a winning idea. It would certianly help those folks who don't have time or talent for cooking. Donald  |
Someone open something up in Troy, Michigan. I will be your first customer!!!
|
I love it.
Trouble is you'd probably only have 5 customers in NZ - LC is not widespread. Maybe I'll just have to visit overseas franchises :D Lesley |
Sign Texas up please!!
Yes, Yes, and another Yes!
I was just thinking about this myself this weekend. A restraunt chain would be posh. How about: [SIZE=3]LC's for Low Carber's ?? Just a thought! I love this idea! FREE  |
I've been thinking about this also. Possibly a fast-food LC chain for those on the go? I think it would do really well in the U.S. and Canada at least.

How 'bout "Low-Carb Cafe" ;)
(Go Boilers! :) ) |
Low Carb Watchers!
The resturant idea sounds great!
:q: I was wondering why someone hasn't gotten on the Band Wagon for a Low Carb Weight Watchers program?????????????? Weight Watchers makes millions with their Point System.............why hasn't someone come up with the Low carb weight watchers all over the world? I would certainly join here in TEXAS, if they had one. :-)) Jo Ann in TEXAS  |
Hi everyone,
"LC watchers" could be infringing on some copyrights. However, raising capital seems to be a problem. I want to do this sooo bad...Karen where are you, I want to hear about your frozen foods.
I'm going to talk to my bf's father you started up a company with outside investors. All be back - everyone keep thinking about names;) Erin |
Why?
There is TOPS, Weight Watcher and others.................why couldn't there be one for Low Carbers? I don't think there would be any problems..............just need someone to get it going! WW started hers in a garage, I believe. :D
Jo Ann in TEXAS |
Let me clarify...
I though you wanted "Low Carb Watchers." You just want Low Carbers? That would be fine. I should check out the WW site and see where it did get started (that's awesome if it started in her garage), however WW started as meetings right? The food part (frozen food, etc) came later, right? When food gets involved, there's so much more to think about. I'm going to do some research and see what I can do with this....
As I said before, keep the ideas coming in. Erin |
