Where: : Old Town Fredericksburg, VA, just off I-95. Buffalo Moes wing restaurant, on the Rappahannock river. 50 miles south of Washington, D.C. Within driving distance from Williamsburg, Richmond, Frederick, Annapolis. Stay overnight if you are so inclined. Lots of kewl places. Cheap and not-so-cheap. You decide.

Great Idea!! I'd love to be there. I'm hoping to come and stay overnight in one of those cheap places. I need a night out! Unfortunately, I've got some things on the calendar already so I'll just lay it out and hope the dice falls on a date I can make it.

June 8th- Soccer in Richmond but need to be here early in am to have tailgate brunch party.

June 20-22- Parents here from Fla.

July 6 - 20 - Vacation!!!!

I'll be a "follower" on this one. Whatever everyone wants to do is fine with me ;)

I have aircrew training the weekend of June 14-15.

And Mark I think Sunday would be good too :) Lots of people have to work Saturdays :/

I checked mapquest and it is a 3 1/2 hour trip for me. Maybe a noonish thing would work better for me since it is so far????

Hmph. I dunno about those criteria!

Now you can stay at the Richard Johnston Inn in old town F'burg....to the tune of $250 a night!! You want quaint...we GOT quaint.

DH and I did stay in a nice little Ramada (Rt. 3 Plank Rd. at I-95) that wasn't too quaint, but had an in-room frig. and microwave. $55, some kind of spayshul deal...might be more that time of year....

I would try Hotel.com if I were you, they have rilly good rates with national chains. My dad got a weekend rate in Mobile, Alabama, the week after Memorial day for $42.50, double occ., king bed, non-smoking! Days Inn, I think.

Hey, there is an awesome Tappas rest. downtown called 623 Caroline. Great wine, exceedingly small, expensive portions...don't it sound grand?

Yeah, yeah definately will look forward to it - thanks Renee for the invite. I haven't really been on here very long, but there are a lot of really cool people here - would like to get to know some of y'all better. One can never have enough buds. :)

I talked to DH about it and I would probably make just a day of it.... eat a good meal with you guys and head back home.

I go back to school to finish my last 10 credits June 30 - but one big weekend of grown-up time might just be the thing.
